Lee County Commonwealth's Attorney's Staff
Erik J. Walton is the Chief Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney. Erik obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, and his law degree at Appalachian School of Law. Erik has worked in the Lee County Commonwealth Attorney’s office as a Deputy prosecutor since 2008, and has served as Chief Deputy since 2015. Before law school, Erik served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.
Martha Elkins serves as a Paralegal. Martha is a graduate of Pennington High School and Mountain Empire Community College. She has worked in the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office since 2001.
Joseph Rasnic serves as the Office Manager. Joe is a graduate of Jonesville High School, the University of Virginia, and the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he graduated with high honors. Joe has over 25 years of experience in the legal field.
Sarah H. Wynn is the Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney. Sarah is a 2002 graduate of Virginia Tech and a 2006 graduate of the Florida Coastal School of Law. Before joining the Lee County Commonwealth Attorney’s office, Sarah served as a Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney in Wise County from 2007 to 2015. Sarah has also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney since 2013.
Angela Bloomer serves as the Secretary. Angela started with the Commonwealth Attorney's Office in 2016.
